“Here, votes will win, not the right-wing bots,” he said during an event at the Caracas Polyhedron Arena, where he compared the Venezuelan electoral process to what happened in Mexico and France.

“In Mexico, everyone said the right was going to win. On election day, however, the left-wing candidate gave a beating to the right,” Maduro said.

Previously, during a campaign event in the state of Portuguesa, the Bolivarian leader analyzed the possible post-electoral political scenarios and denounced a far-right plan to eliminate Chavismo.

“What would happen in Venezuela if the Caracas oligarchy came to political power by accident?… What would happen to all the Bolivarian Revolution’s social, cultural, political, spiritual, moral, and military power?,” he asked and alluded to probable civic-military insurrections like those that occurred in the past.

Maduro then recalled the social explosion known as “El Caracazo” on February 27, 1989. This milestone in Venezuelan history later led to an insurrection on February 4, 1992, when Hugo Chavez failed in his attempt to oust the oligarchy from power but began the process of the current Bolivarian Revolution.

“The Chavistas are a social, cultural, political, and military reality. Let no one be mistaken! Our Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the Bolivarian National Militia are the nation’s military power and are increasingly deeply Chavistas,” he said.
